We have received confirmation from the City that they will add sewer overflow notification to their new emergency notification system CodeRED. 

CodeRED provides quick communications to targeted regions and families via a phone message.  Communication is initiated by the City pulling up an electronic street map and identifying targeted areas by simply dragging an electronic window over the computer screen.  All homes within the window are then simultaneously called and the desired message played.
 
The City asks that you contact them to supply the primary and secondary phone numbers you wish to be reached at in the event of an emergency.  Your participation ensures you will be reached on your cell phone and unlisted numbers.  Sign up is simple and takes very little time.  Go to http://www.ci.oswego.or.us/home/news/CodeRED.htm or call the Citizen Information Center at 503-635-0257.
